At Aquinas College, we understand that a boy’s early years are some of the most formative. That’s why we offer a dedicated Early Learning Program designed especially to be curious, energetic, imaginative and full of wonder. Grounded in Catholic values and inspired by the traditions of Blessed Edmund Rice, our program fosters a joy for learning in a safe, supportive and loving environment.

From our Little Reds Playgroup to Pre-Kindy and Kindergarten, each stage of our Early Learning Program is tailored to nurture your son’s growth – spiritually, socially, emotionally and academically – setting him on the path to becoming a confident, capable and compassionate young man.

Kindergarten at Aquinas College

Where your son’s love of learning takes flight

Our Kindergarten program is the heart of the Aquinas Early Learning journey – a vibrant space where young boys are encouraged to explore, create, play and grow, all within our stunning campus surrounded by nature.

Your son will be immersed in a play-based curriculum that lays the foundation for literacy, numeracy, and a lifelong love of learning. Specialist classes in Music, Physical Education and Reading complement the core program, and our experienced educators create an environment that supports each boy’s unique way of engaging with the world.

Our riverside campus provides exceptional opportunities for outdoor exploration, nature-based play and quiet reflection, fostering a strong connection to creation and care for our common home.

At Aquinas, we offer our parents with the freedom of flexibility too with the choice of three to five Kindy days a week and the added benefit of free extended before and after school hours.

Pre-Kindy at Aquinas College

A small start to big adventures

Our Pre-Kindy program is the perfect introduction to the rhythms of school life, offered to boys in the year before Kindergarten. With flexible attendance options, Pre-Kindy provides a warm, welcoming and play-rich environment that helps young boys build the confidence, friendships and routines that will support their transition into Kindergarten and their future learning journey.

Through hands-on learning, storytelling, music and outdoor discovery, boys are gently guided to explore the world around them with curiosity and care.

In Pre-Kindy, your son will:

Little Reds Playgroup

A first step into the Aquinas community

Our Little Reds Playgroup offers a relaxed and friendly setting for girls and boys aged 0–3 and their parents or caregivers to connect, play and belong. Held weekly on campus, Little Reds is led by caring Early Learning teachers who guide age-appropriate play and help foster early social and emotional skills.

It’s also a beautiful way for families to get to know Aquinas College, meet other parents, and experience the joy of belonging to our community, even before your son begins formal schooling.
