Aquinas College athletes shone at the recent PSA and JPSSA Athletics Carnivals, delivering record-breaking performances and strong team results that reflect the depth of talent and commitment across the College.
PSA Carnival
In a highlight for the senior competition, Jimmy in Year 10 set a new benchmark in the Shot Put Division 1, throwing a massive 16.40 metres and surpassing the previous record of 15.58m. This outstanding effort contributed to Aquinas placing an impressive second overall
in the PSA competition.
JPSSA Carnival
On the Junior stage, Hunter in Year 6 made history by breaking two long-standing records:
- 200m Division 1 – 27.03 seconds (previous record 27.38s)
- 400m Division 1 – 58.89 seconds (previous record 1:01.64)
Hunter’s exceptional achievements, combined with the efforts of his peers, helped Aquinas secure a commendable fourth place overall at the JPSSA Carnival.
These results celebrate not only the remarkable individual talent of Jimmy and Hunter, but also the collective spirit, determination, and sportsmanship of our athletes across both carnivals. Aquinas congratulates all competitors on their achievements and thanks the coaches and staff who supported the boys in their preparation.
