Last week we welcomed our JS Dad's onto campus for a reading morning. Here's how it went:

"I was very privileged to talk with some great young men at Aquinas Junior School Dad's reading morning. After a nice cup of coffee and cupcake (maybe two) we went to small groups and discussed our reading experience. It took me back to when I was a boy who did not really find reading an easy or enjoyable task. The school I went to did not have the same support as Aquinas offers these amazing boys, however, I still found the wonder and joy in reading as I grew older and now I am an avid reader of many different forms. Hearing their stories and points of view at a much younger age than I ever recall, made me feel great hope and interest in the joy they will find in literature for the rest of their lives."

"I think it was pretty enjoyable to hear what all the Dad's read when they were younger and what their favourite book was. I also enjoyed sharing with the group the books I am reading right now and I am pretty sure everyone else enjoyed sharing too."
