Annual Bursary Appeal

Aquinas College is an extraordinary school but we know an Aquinas education is a privilege not all can afford. At Aquinas, we believe we go some small way to addressing this inequity through our enrolment process, ensuring diversity and accessibility – the hallmarks of a Christian Brother school.

Each year Aquinas College awards bursaries to students with genuine financial need and great potential. Boys whose lives are transformed by the opportunities an Aquinas College education affords. All bursaries are awarded according to need, and vary in value depending on each family’s circumstances.

As we launch the 2023 Annual Bursary Appeal, we are reminded of the incredible legacy left by the Terry Bourke Family Bursary. Since its establishment in 1997, 23 students have been provided with the financial support needed to strive for their dreams and reach their full potential.

The Terry Bourke Family Bursary was initiated by Terry Bourke (’43) and his wife Nell who both strongly believed in the importance of providing equal opportunities for all students. Over the years, the Bursary has helped students from all walks of life to access the high-quality education offered at Aquinas College.

By supporting our Annual Bursary Appeal, you can help us to continue to support students in need through the Terry Bourke Family Bursary, and all our other bursaries. All contributions over $2 are tax-deductible under the name of ‘Aquinas College Foundation Inc Scholarship & Bursary Fund' ABN 93 078 219 075, with receipts issued by the Foundation.

Contributions to the Annual Bursary Appeal can be made here or by filling in the attached form and returning it to foundation@aquinas.wa.edu.au.

Education equals opportunity. Thank you for helping us to ensure that more boys have the chance to transform their lives and the lives of their future families, regardless of their financial situation.
