On Friday 10th March, 75 students from Year 7-12 participated in the annual Clean-Up Australia Day event. The boys gathered at the Mount Sion patio after school for a coffee- scroll and drink and after a short briefing, were then allocated to groups that were led by volunteer staff and experienced members of the Service Council. Most groups returned with their bags of rubbish in about an hour. From a bright yellow chair to many handfuls of plastic and paper, the boys did a great job. A small group led by Tobias Melang also sorted recyclable bottles and glass for Containers for Change.

Events like this allow our College to play its part in caring for its local environment and it's always a fun experience. Many thanks to Paul Rich for many hours of preparation and ensuring that everything ran smoothly. A big thank you to Richard Kostecki, Megan Monks and John Speechley for always giving up their time to help. And last, but not least, the Service Council who arrived early to help with the registrations and setting-up, and stayed behind to put everything away.
