The Aquinas community gathered in the Br Paull Centre to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption this morning.
In her pilgrimage on earth Mary co-operated through her obedience, faith, hope and burning charity in the work of her Saviour.
She was faithful to God from the consent she gave at the Annunciation and was sustained without wavering beneath the cross. Taken to heaven, she exercises her maternal care for the brothers and sisters of her Son.
Mass was celebrated by Fr Rodrigo and prepared by Dr Andrew Kania. Singing was lead by Mr Chris McMillan and others members of the Music Department.
The Feast of the Assumption is considered the most important feast of the calendar and a Holy Day of Obligation.
